Getting Started - Set your account preferences
Before you enter any data in your account, we recommend you configure it to fit your needs. This section will help you configure items that impact all users and all projects.
Set your account preferences
We suggest you review and configure the following, in the "Admin" section.
Account Info
This is where you can configure:
  • Account information (i.e. Account Name and Subdomain).
  • Preferences (i.e. Time Zone, Date Format, Week Management, Typical Work Day and Cost Tracking parameters).
  • Email notification parameters
  • SMTP server parameters
  • Company address and contact information.
  • The Task Reminder parameters
Branding
This feature lets you adapt the following visual elements of AceProject to your needs.
  • Apply a predefined interface skin theme, or change the color of specific interface elements.
  • Substitute AceProject's logo with yours at the upper left of the application, as well as on the login page.
  • Rename the application.
  • Show/hide the "Follow AceProject" section on the login page. This section provides links to our social network profiles, our blog, etc.
Clients
Clients can be associated with a project they are involved in. You may enter detailed contact information for each client.
User Groups
User groups are helpful to organize users in teams or departments, for easier management. You may create user groups to identify "Engineers", "Webmasters" or "Managers" for example.
Time Types
Time types are work hour classifications, which are used to identify work items when filling out time sheets. For example, time types can be "Regular", "Sick Time" or "Overtime".
Expense Types
Expense types are categories of expenses which you may define and associate expenses to.
Project Types
Project types enable you to define project categories, for easier management. For example, project types can be "General", "Technology", "Training", etc. 
Project Priorities
Project priorities help you manage projects. For example, project priorities can be "Low", "Urgent" or "Critical".
Project Statuses
Project statuses are the state of completion of each project. A pre-defined type must be associated with each status (Waiting, In Progress and Completed). i.e. "To Do" ("Waiting" type), "Ongoing" ("In Progress" type), "Finished" ("Completed" type).
